I've used Venture for a couple years to clean my pool weekly. Service was generally ok, leaving the pool looking great. A few crews did lower quality work, but they were replaced when I complained. Two months ago my variable speed pump transmission blew. I asked the repair tech (from Hayward) how often that happens, and he said rarely. Usually it's because the filter isn't being cleaned. I check the records and sure enough, it's been over 15 months since the filter had been backwashed! I complained to Venture, and they immediately came out to fully clean the DE filter for free (though I did end up getting a $100 bill for the service). I adamantly asked for the filter to be backwashed monthly, the first week of the month. Seven weeks later they finally backwashed the filter, but failed to put any DE back into the filter! If you are home to inspect their work weekly and can confirm they do everything, and do it properly, it may be worth using this company. I'm not going to risk it as I don't want to sink more money into my pool equipment because the company can't/won't maintain my pool properly. There is laziness and mistakes, and we all have our off days. But I have experienced outright neglect over a sustained period of time. I only wish I would have noticed their neglect earlier. There are many similarly priced cleaning companies, I'll be finding another one.
